A recent meeting between UNIDO representatives and His Excellency Mr. Nenad Popovic, Minister for Innovation and Technological Development of Serbia, underscored a joint dedication to propelling smart manufacturing and innovation in the country.
The participants stressed the importance of accelerating digital transformation, especially through supporting SMEs and promoting technological development. Moreover, both sides expressed willingness to broaden collaboration and investigate potential joint endeavors on various technical cooperation projects.
The discussion also raised potential next steps for the smart manufacturing project, including the proposition of crafting a second phase aimed at amplifying the achieved outcomes. Notably, Novi Sad’s potential to emerge as a pivotal digital training center at the regional level, evolving into a hub for innovation.
